Caught in a Trap: Part 1


Episode Synopsis

Mike Holmes is called to a house that is nothing more than a bad shell. After the homeowners paid a contractor to build a second story addition, he takes off to Europe, leaving the inside of their home exposed to heavy rains for six days. The basement is destroyed and becomes a breeding ground for mould, dry rot, and the biggest nest of ants Mike has ever seen. Everything needs to go, including all of the homeowners’ belongings. The entire layout is re-designed, structure needs to be reinforced and Mike closes in on getting the job done right.

Mike and his crew need to install two steel beams weighing at least 400 pounds each. Just getting them inside the house is a challenge. But when Mike discovers the house isn't level he has to rethink the entire operation.
